Man, we’re going fishing Saturday, and I can’t wait. We’re driving up to Delaware and setting up on the beach. Edmund gave me a break from praise team for this weekend, so I have NO obligations. For one day I don’t have to think about church stuff or any of the drama that’s going on now. Just me and the great blue sea. Well, about 15 other guys may be going… so just me, 15 other guys, and the great blue sea. Well, actually, it is summer and we are going to the beach to fish… so just me, 15 other guys, about a thousand or so tourists, and the great blue… What am I saying? This is the Mid-Atlantic Coast of the U.S. not the Bahamas… ugh, so me, 15 guys, 1k tourists, foamy grey sea. But still it’s better than here right now. I’m really looking forward to it. Leaving at the break of dawn Saturday morning. Next weekend, we’re probably going to have a Labor Day BBQ at my house for just whoever wants to come. Make plans to be here! Then the weekend after that, I found out yesterday, my parents will be in town for some sort of convention or something and will probably stay at my house. I wonder if they want to do touristy things? I wonder if they’ll have time? I wonder how long they’ll stay? At some point I want to take a vacation. Hmmm.. where should I go? I found out this week that my work won’t need me in L.A. in September… probably not until November. What the… I have the TV on in the background – History Channel. As I was writing this, I overheard some language I really didn’t expect on this channel. The show that is on is called “Sexpionage – Sex in the Cold War.” Basically it’s about Russian and Eastern European spies who used seduction to get secrets and stuff… Et tu History Channel? I figured such a respected network would shun the quick fix of titillation for a boost in their ratings. Right now a guy who looks and talks like Obi-Wan Kanobi from the original Star Wars movie is talking about his… um… prowess in seducing women back in the 50’s. It’s actually quite funny. At any moment I expect him to fall asleep or forget where he is all of a sudden. Alright, my clothes are dry and folded. I need to go to bed. Look at the time.
