Is My House Under Water?

Watching the news stories out here about what’s going on back home has gotten me really paranoid.  The news makes it seem like another Katrina happened out there.  I know I have to take it with a grain of salt considering how much the news over-hypes stuff, though.  Ever since my experience last year with my sprinkler system busting while I was out here in California, I’ve been worried that I will come home to another disaster (maybe someone could stop by my house and look around to ease my mind).

On another note, Hansoo’s latest entry and something someone suggested to me recently, I’ve been playing around with the idea of doing a “Choose Your Own Adventure” story in my xanga, with different links going to different entries.  Stay tuned.

  1. i didn’t realize that we had so much rain until i saw the news. 10-15 inches? that’s what they say, but i would’ve never guessed that much without the news. its’ really not bad at all…especially your house since it’s on a hill.

  2. Yeah. It was pretty scary, but not Katrina scary. Alexandria, VA, Rock Creek Park, and some parts of the I-95 corridor had some flooding in areas. It looked like Alexandria’s basement parking garages and those homes and businesses around the rivers were hit the hardest.
